T Epson Indonesia celebrated Idul Fitri by fulfilling its corporate social responsibility (CSR) through the Epson Peduli program. Berbagi Bahagia Bersama Epson, which means Sharing Happiness with Epson, offered financial and other assistance, as well as Iftar meals for orphans and less fortunate people.
The program is annually carried out by Epson Indonesia. The activities are divided among five cities, providing assistance for a total of 10 orphanages and nursing homes in Indonesia. Epson Indonesia was able to provide basic necessities, or sembako, to orphans during the month of Ramadan, giving out as many as 500 packages along with compensation for the less fortunate.
“This is a humanitarian social activity that is routinely carried out by sharing with others. The pandemic has not prevented [us] from helping various orphanage activities as places to develop quality children, even though we still adhere to the health protocols," said M. Husni Nurdin, head of finance and corporate services.
Husni expressed the hope that the assistance provided through the program could ease the situation of those in the orphanages, as well as to add to the celebration of the holy month of Ramadan.
Novi, one of the administrators of the Al Ikhlas Foundation, said that he would like to thank Epson Indonesia for paying attention to the Al Ikhlas Foundation despite the pandemic.
"I thank Epson Indonesia a lot, I hope that in the future there will be more ongoing assistance, this Epson program is very helpful and brings blessings to all of us," Novi said.
