In front of the commissioners of the Central Information Commission, Yudian committed to consistently implementing Law No. 14 of 2008 concerning public information openness as BPIP's obligation in fulfilling the public's right to obtain information related to the programs and policies of the Pancasila Ideology Development (PIP).
n the morning of Nov. 30, Pancasila Ideology Development Agnecy (BPIP) head Prof. Drs. K.H. Yudian Wahyudi, M.A., Ph.D. and BPIP Secretary-General Dr. Adhianti, S.IP., M.Si. explained the implementation of public information openness at the public test of public information openness held at the Grand Mercure Kemayoran.
"As a state institution, BPIP is obliged to provide citizens with the right to access public information related to the programs, activities and policies of the Pancasila Ideology Development. Therefore, the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency has implemented this mandate as stipulated in BPIP Regulation Number 1 of 2023 concerning the implementation of public information services of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency," stated Yudian.
Yudian added that one of the innovations in public information openness implemented in 2023 was the information system for the recruitment and selection of the National Flag Hoisting Team (Paskibraka) throughout Indonesia through the website www.paskibraka.bpip.go.id.
"The existence of this information system minimizes corrupt practices in the recruitment and selection processes of the Paskibraka as it can be accessed by all participants and announced through the website," he added.
Meanwhile, BPIP Secretary-General Adhianti added that they have digitized various public services included in the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE). Some of these public services include BPIP's Public Information Disclosure Officer (PPID), BPIP's Legal Information Center (JDIH BPIP), SP4N Report BPIP, Paskibraka Transparency, BPIP's One Data and various other applications.
"This shows our commitment to public information openness. The public can access various pieces of information easily, quickly and without any charge. We even expect feedback or participation from the public in our programs and policymaking," Adhianti mentioned.
For 2024, Adhianti mentioned that they will collaborate with the Central Information Commission and work with all ministries, institutions and regional governments to organize Ideology of Pancasila Education and Training (Diklat) for public relations personnel throughout Indonesia.
"This activity aims to strengthen the Pancasila ideology among public relations personnel to counter radicalism while also internalizing Pancasila values in them so that all content and information produced always embodies Pancasila," she explained.
Adhianti added that public information openness is central to Pancasila, helping present civilized and just information.
"Next year, BPIP will continue to enhance public information openness and encourage all public institutions to implement Pancasila by fulfilling the public's rights to obtain information related to state administration," she concluded.
The Public Test of Public Information Openness is one of the evaluations by the Central Information Commission on the information services conducted by every state institution. Only state institutions that surpass the passing grade are invited to the public test.
Other test participants included the head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the secretary-general of the Regional Representatives Council (DPD), the CEO of the state-owned television station TVRI and the head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK).
