Sydney Build Expo 2025 draws over 30,000 visitors from construction and design sectors

M

ore than 30,000 industry professionals attended the Sydney Build Expo 2025, Australia’s largest construction and design exhibition, held from May 7 to 8 at the ICC Sydney Exhibition Centre.

The two-day event featured more than 600 speakers across 15 conference stages, covering topics from sustainable development and digital transformation to urban planning and infrastructure financing. Visitors also engaged in business matchmaking sessions, including Meet the Buyers, a Government Hub and the Architect’s Hub, alongside live music and entertainment.

This year’s expo saw participation from over 600 exhibitors presenting the latest technologies, solutions and services shaping the future of the built environment. With Australia’s infrastructure sector in the midst of a major growth phase, the event served as a key meeting point for stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Among the international exhibitors was PT Tata Metal Lestari, an Indonesian producer of coated steel products. While not central to the event’s broader themes, the company used the opportunity to introduce its environmentally certified materials, including Nexalume, Nexium and Nexcolor, all of which meet Australia’s green building standards.

Stephanus Koeswandi, vice president of operations at Tata Metal Lestari, said the expo was an important platform to highlight Indonesia’s role in the global supply chain. “We see growing demand in Australia and hope our presence here will further strengthen trade ties and contribute to Indonesia’s export performance,” he said.

Tata Metal Lestari currently exports to more than 25 countries and is actively expanding its reach through innovation and adherence to international quality standards.
