ndosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) concluded its virtual Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on Tuesday at the company’s head office. The theme of this year’s AGMS was “Focus on Accelerating Integration to Empower Indonesia”, as IOH’s growth has a significant impact on the business climate in Indonesia.

Among the decisions produced during the AGMS were the approval of the annual report and ratification of the company’s financial statements for the financial year ending on Dec. 31, 2021, the approval of the use of the company’s net profit for the financial year, the approval of the determination of remuneration for the company’s board of commissioners for 2022 and the approval of the appointment of the company’s independent auditor for the financial year.

"We would like to thank all our customers and partners for their continuous trust and loyalty, which have given great confidence to the company.  We’ve managed to maintain positive growth while continuing to strengthen strategic cooperation with global partners and have also committed to supporting the Indonesian government’s digital transformation agenda,” said president director of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Vikram Sinha.

In the first quarter of 2022, IOH recorded strong growth in revenue and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA). It also recently launched cloud and data services provider BDx Indonesia to answer the growing demand for global-standard data centers in the country.

Furthermore, IOH also played a key role in supporting Indonesia’s strategic agenda to revive tourism and economic growth through the Mandalika MotoGP event, the Jakarta E-Prix and the G20 Summit. In Mandalika, for example, IOH launched Ucan and Bima Kredit to empower local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and fishermen last March.

"IOH will continue to focus on accelerating the integration process so that all customers can quickly enjoy the benefits of the IOH presence in Indonesia. We also want to create greater shareholder shared value to empower Indonesia through the empowerment of digital talent, women and MSMEs. This is also in line with IOH's mission to deliver a world-class digital experience, connecting and empowering every Indonesian," Vikram added.

The company officially started its operations as Indosat Ooredo Hutchison (IOH) on Jan. 4, 2022. Since then, IOH has strived to improve customer experience by integrating the two complementary businesses. This includes an integrated network of 43 thousand sites, slated for completion by the end of 2022.
