As the largest retail business in Southeast Asia in the field of household equipment, MR. DIY has over 4,000 stores across the ASEAN region as well as Europe. With locations established in Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Turkey and Spain to name a few.

In total its stores offer over 18,000 products in 10 key categories, which include both household equipment and furniture, electric equipment, stationery items, sports equipment and tools. With auxiliary products being offered such as toys, car accessories and cosmetics.

Strategically located in Lotte Mall Jakarta, the inaugural flagship and 900th store is uniquely designed, highlighting the signature Indonesian material, rattan, to create a modern shopping experience that is deeply rooted in local culture.

“Our 900th and first-ever flagship store is a massive new page in our sustained expansion. It reaffirms our commitment to meeting the household needs of Indonesians as it is strategically placed in a high-traffic familial area. Moreover it reflects our leadership in the market, signifying how we are adapting to the evolving customer demand and are oriented toward healthy-long term growth,” said president director of MR. This flagship store is also coming off the heels of MR. DIY’s strong momentum of growth since 2022. With Edwin explaining that within the past 2 years alone they have managed to open 500 stores in Indonesia, exponentially faster than the establishment of the first 400 stores opened between 2017 to 2022.

.

Additionally, the arrival of this flagship store also serves as a materialization of MR. DIY’s appreciation of local Indonesian arts and crafts. Aside from the utilization of rattan in the store’s design, MR. DIY has also collaborated with local artist, Wulang Sunu, to create a distinct art installation meant to showcase the talent of Indonesian craftsmen to a wider audience.

“My collaboration with MR. DIY, a wide reaching influential brand here, is an immense honor for me. The artwork I made is also somewhat inspired by MR. DIY’s commitment to meeting the needs of Indonesian households. Through this collaboration, I hope that more and more people learn of local art and become interested in it,” said Wulang of MR. DIY’s flagship store’s exciting art installation.

.

To further commemorate this milestone, MR. DIY is also launching a line of merchandise in collaboration with Wulang that is only available in the flagship store. The roster of merchandise includes notebooks, tote bags, T-shirts and stickers. Moreover, 20 percent of every purchase will be donated toward supporting social and educational programs via Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa.

“Through our newest location, we hope that our customers will continue receiving the optimal shopping experience from us. We will also carry on with our commitment to meeting our customers’ needs, ensuring safety, accessibility and reliability for all of our Indonesian visitors,” Edwin added.
