maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility has begun operating at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali, which will serve particularly narrow-bodied aircraft from major producers, Boeing and Airbus.
PT Avia Technics Dirgantara, also known as FL Technics Indonesia, will be the one operating the MRO facility that stands on a 17,000 square meter land. Its services will include base maintenance, heavy maintenance, logistics services and a training facility, among others.
“The MRO hangar by FL Technics Indonesia in Bali is the newest expansion designed to increase our capabilities serving in the local aviation industry,” FL Technics Indonesia president-director Martynas Grigas said on Nov. 29, as quoted by Bisnis.
“We are proud to contribute to the improvement of aviation services quality in Indonesia, particularly at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, as the second busiest airport in Indonesia,” he said.
Grigas is also chair of BBN Airlines, which made its debut as the country’s newest medium-service carrier in late September.
