Morula IVF Tangerang opens at Mentari Hospital

orula IVF Tangerang officially opened as a part of Mentari hospital on Saturday (27/07/2022). Morula IVF Tangerang is strategically located to make fertility treatment more accessible to everyone and furthers the company’s reputation as the leading comprehensive IVF clinic service center in Indonesia.
The presence of Morula IVF Tangerang at Mentari Hospital is part of the hospital’s efforts to increase the scope of services at the hospital, as it is one of the first steps toward the hospital building a Women and Child Care Center in Tangerang, Banten. In synergy, these two entities can together answer the needs of infertile couples in the area.
“It's not about segmentation; it's all about perception and the level of convenience of the patient. So, from what we see in Jakarta, now everyone can attend such a service and it is very popular; that is what we're hoping for here,” said DR. dr. Ivan Rizal Sini, SpOG, MD, FRANZCOG, GDRM, MMIS, CEO of Morula Indonesia.
Some of the draws enticing Morula to set up shop in Mentari that he mentioned included the expansive space and charming ambiance, providing a perfect place for Morula to grow.
“At Morula IVF Tangerang, we put forward the concept of a comprehensive fertility center, which not only focuses on IVF services, but more broadly on comprehensive fertility services. We are confident that we will be able to reach a wider captive market in the Tangerang city area,” he added, noting that the success rate of Morula IVF Tangerang prior to moving to the hospital was quite good, with the greatest success rate amounting to up to 75 percent.
Based on data from PERFITRI (Indonesian In Vitro Fertilization Association), the total IVF program cycle in Indonesia in 2021 was recorded at more than 13,000 cycles. In the Tangerang area, there were 670 couples following the IVF program, of which 32 percent were patients from Morula IVF Tangerang.
“Morula IVF Indonesia is one of the largest IVF services in Indonesia, with a good track record over the last 24 years. While the focus of the opening was to service more patients and expectant parents, the city’s Regent, Ahmed Zaki Iskandar, also saw it as an opportunity to showcase Tangerang’s potential to be a medical center that may boost medical tourism in the future.
“One of the goals is for Tangerang to become one of the medical destinations; first of all, because we're near the airport and accessible by toll roads. Secondly, it is a region that has been built, and the potential for medical tourism areas are those that are advanced. Then also in medical tourism, there are specialties. So, it is hoped that Mentari can be the one for fertility. I hope this can build the trust of the Indonesian people that health services in Indonesia have so much back technology,” he said at the event.
He further stated that PEMDA supported the clinic with a fast licensing process, although it was hampered for two years because of the pandemic. Moreover, he expressed his gratitude to Mentari Hospital for their contribution to taking care of those that were affected by the pandemic.
“Often, the information obtained is wrong and less accurate. Therefore, it takes comfort and also correct information from doctors, nurses… It is very necessary to have high confidence. This is also for Indonesians to see that the credibility of health services -- we're especially talking about IVF today -- is one of the best. This is one thing that we can hope for,” Dr. Ivan said.
Morula IVF Tangerang and Mentari Hospital are offering a special promotion to celebrate the grand opening period in the form of IVF program packages with prices starting at Rp 58 million (US$3900). In addition, they are also providing special offers for the basic fertility examination and complete fertility check-up with costs starting from Rp 2 million, with special prices of Rp 1.5 million for HSG examination and hysteroscopy diagnostics. The normal price for the latter is Rp 6.2 million.
