orula IVF Makassar marked its fifth anniversary by launching Morula Care, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program providing in-vitro fertilization (IVF) for one set of expectant parents experiencing financial difficulty. The birthday celebration also included the Morula Fertility Talk featuring several Morula doctors, as well as DR. dr. Ivan Rizal, SpOG, MD, FRANZCOG, GDRM, MMIS, the chief executive officer of PT Indonesian Morula on Sunday (28/08/2022).

Along with Morula IVF Indonesia’s scientific director Prof. dr. Arief Boediono, Ph.D, PA.Vet (consultant), COO dr. Arif Hamsah and medical director of Morula IVF Makassar Prof. Dr. dr. Nusratuddin Abdullah, SpOG (K)-FER, MARS, the doctors talked about education around IVF and the superior service technology offered at the clinic in Makassar.

“The participation of people of Eastern Indonesia is quite large and means Morula IVF Makassar holds a certain position at the national level. In 2019, Morula IVF Makassar was in sixth position of the IVF clinics in Indonesia, by contributing about 450 patients per year, meaning that every month there are around 30 patients who carry out IVF programs,” said Prof. Dr. dr. Nusratuddin Abdullah.

The increasing public interest in IVF in Makassar is the driving force behind the launch of the Morula Care program as part of the center’s CSR. Prof. Dr. dr. Nusratuddin Abdullah spoke about the success rate of the IVF program, when coupled with other circumstances such as age and number of egg cells.

"The success rate of the IVF program, an average of around 40 percent according to national standards, is a high compared with normal pregnancies. [The success rate of] normal pregnancies is only about 25 percent for young people who have good egg cells, good channels and healthy organs if they have intercourse during fertile days,” he said.

The program drew thousands of participants, although only one lucky couple was declared the winner, getting complete IVF program assistance for free until the entire program is successfully completed.

The winners are in good hands, as Morula IVF Indonesia is the best IVF clinic in the country. Morula IVF Indonesia has performed a total of 125,000 IVF procedures in 2022 with an average monthly success rate of 53 percent. In 2020, the clinic achieved the highest monthly success rate of 72 percent, with a good prognosis among women under 35 years of age.
