RTOTEL Sanur – Bali is collaborating with local Balinese artist Bagus Ari Maruta to present the Dilema Ria art exhibition, open to the public from March 11 to May 11.
A graduate of ISI Yogyakarta, the Ubud-born Bagus Ari Maruta focuses on everyday life and peacefulness that has been translated into colors. Striking, cultured, smooth, cornered, yet humble and can be widely accepted by the audience; that is how Bagus’ artwork has been described.
Curator Gustra explained that Dilema Ria provides Bagus with an opportunity to express the current Bali and Balinese atmosphere on the basis of his admiration and curiosity about Balinese culture itself.
The making of the artwork used techniques that have been practiced by Bagus in his works, while the art exhibition will present something different, unique and highlight the characteristics of Bagus’ artwork that cannot be found anywhere else.
ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali general manager Agus Ade Surya Wirawan said it was an honor for the hotel to work with local artists.
“We hope that the Dilema Ria art exhibition can be enjoyed by all Indonesian contemporary art lovers in Bali, and especially ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali guests."
