AIESEC Indonesia aims to create a positive impact through their annual Partner Gathering

O

n Jan. 20th 2023, AIESEC Indonesia held a Partner Gathering event in the Menara Peninsula Hotel, West Jakarta, with the goal of inviting and involving partners in a unified mission to build teamwork aimed at creating a huge positive impact on the environment.

In this event, AIESEC partners were able to network and introduce their companies to other partners of the organization and to the AIESEC youths stationed all across Indonesia.

AIESEC is an international organization tailored to help youths develop their leadership potential. Operating since 1948, the group is a global network of likeminded individuals under the age of 30 who strive to improve themselves and their surrounding communities. Covering key topics such as world issues, leadership development, cultural understanding and experiential learning, the organization has grown to have members spread across 100 countries, and currently has 26 active branches stationed in 18 cities in Indonesia with over 1600 current members.

Because they conduct programs aimed at developing Indonesian youths, AIESEC Indonesia often actively collaborates with companies and the government to attain the united goal of creating a wide-reaching and long-lasting positive impact across the country.

The AIESEC in Indonesia Partner Gathering event presented over 30 partners from various industries, foundations and government institutions, including the Manpower Ministry (Talent Hub), the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) and the Finance Ministry (Komunitas #UangKita), alongside 150 Indonesian youths.

The event started with opening remarks from Nicco Ravi, a representative from the board of consultants of AIESEC Indonesia and president of AIESEC Indonesia 2022.

“We deeply appreciate the availability of our partners in pushing the growth of the positive impact we aim to provide for the next generation. We hope that we are able to collaborate as partners for the long term for years to come. The impact our organization has is amplified by your presence and support,” he said.

Following the opening remarks was a talk show titled Creating Impact with Purposeful Partnership. Featuring the keynote speakers Rizki Pohan from Danone Indonesia and Ivana Monica from Kraft Heinz Indonesia, the discussion was moderated by Robby Samudra of AIESEC Indonesia. With a variety of interesting topics, the attendants were excited to give amazing feedback by proposing questions to the two main speakers regarding AIESEC’s partnerships during the discussion’s Q&A session.

AIESEC Indonesia representatives Ainun and Anneke, the head of external relations and head of business development respectively, also delivered the organization’s Impact Update, showcasing developments from their various collaborations, local and global programs, and the progress made from both aspects. Their local and global programs in particular covered a holistic range of skill developments, like their Future Leader program for example, where AIESEC members are given access to educational sessions that prepare them for leadership roles and introduce them to the significance of leadership development.

The event continued with the networking session titled Partner Fair: Together Growing for a Better Tomorrow, which allowed partners to introduce themselves to all of the attendees. After a few partners showcased their companies, all of the partners then continued to present their companies in their respective stands. In this networking session, participants and partners were very enthusiastic about exchanging questions or valuable information.

The Partner Gathering was officially concluded with handovers of certificates and a group photo with all of the partners. To close, both the partners and the participants gave outstanding feedback on this year's Partner Gathering.
