eppanyaki is a theatrical Japanese cooking style that utilizes a grill, which showcases the skills of the chef to the diners, presenting the cooking process and directly serving it to guests as soon as the dish is ready.
Opening in 2019 and located within Hotel Nikko Benoa Beach, Nagisa Izakaya Bali has mastered this style of cooking, attributing its success to the leadership and showmanship of veteran teppanyaki chefs at the restaurant, who have amassed years of experience in teppanyaki cooking.
Takahashi Hoshino, general manager of Hotel Nikko Benoa Beach explains, “The uniqueness of Teppanyaki is in its preparation and cooking methods. There is a bit of dramatic flair in the culinary presentation carried out by the chefs. At the end of serving the food in our restaurant, for example, our chef surprises guests by writing on the hot pan a thank you for enjoying teppanyaki at Nagisa Izakaya Bali; the chef even writes the guest’s name on it using sea salt.”
Hoshino adds that, despite being fried food, teppanyaki cuisine offers bold flavors, pampering guests with a pleasant barrage of garlic, ginger and soy sauce. Furthermore, to greet the new month of May, to allow teppanyaki lovers to indulge and to share the experience of teppanyaki, Nagisa Izakaya Bali is offering 15-percent off until May 16.
