Universitas Pancasila and INTI International University sign MoU for academic cooperation

niversitas Pancasila and INTI International University, Malaysia, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for academic, research and community empowerment collaboration.

The MoU was signed by Universitas Pancasila rector Prof. Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno and INTI International University vice chancellor Joseph Lee Yu Kuang Ph.D.  at Aula Nusantara, Law Faculty, Universitas Pancasila, Jakarta on Aug. 7.

The signing of the MoU was the follow-up step that the two leaders of Universitas Pancasila and INTI International University took after signing a letter of intent (LOI) in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, on March 17.

Under the MoU, the two universities will collaborate on Credentials Course Master and short-term courses on diplomacy; the Establishment of the Pancasila School of Diplomacy; exchanges of visits, teaching personnel and students; the development and implementation of collaboration in the area of education and research projects; participation in courses, seminars, training sessions and conferences that are organized by one of the educational institutions; exchange of teaching materials and other information; experience sharing by INTI International University in order to obtain a QS World Ranking; a Carrier Empowerment Program (CEP) under the Merdeka Belajar model, Kampus Merdeka (MBKM); management training for future young entrepreneurs, training on maritime boundaries;  and other activities and programs agreed upon by the two sides.

With respect to the Pancasila School of Diplomacy, the two universities have agreed that in the initial phase, it can be a collaborative project that can be categorized into a Micro Credentials Course under the educational system in Malaysia through which graduates will obtain a certificate that can be utilized to pursue a Master’s Program in the area of diplomacy or international relations.

The collaboration between the two universities is expected to enhance the quality of education, research and community empowerment at the two universities and can also promote cultural understanding between Indonesia and Malaysia.

The Pancasila University rector pointed out, “The MoU is a crucial step to increase the collaboration between Universitas Pancasila and INTI International University. We hope that the MoU can be useful for the two universities, lecturers, teaching personnel and students.”

“The MoU is a form of our commitment to enhance the quality of education and research at Universitas Pancasila. We are confident that our collaboration with INTI International University can help us to achieve that goal,” he said.

INTI International University vice chancellor Joseph Lee Yu Kuang stated, “We believe that the collaboration with Universitas Pancasila can help us provide quality education and research for our students. We also hope that the MoU can also promote the cultural understanding between Indonesia and Malaysia.”

The MoU marked a good start of collaboration between Universitas Pancasila and INTI International University. The MoU is expected to offer benefits for the two universities, as well as lecturers, teaching personnel, education personnel and students.
