Balai Warga PNM loved by MSMEs

T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) continues to enable its assisted customers to rise to the next level and become increasingly recognized. Through the UKM Nasional Expo 2023 in Surakarta, four PNM customers were facilitated to display their products to the wider public.

Arif Rahman Hakim, secretary of the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Ministry (UKM), and Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming gave their support by delivering keynote speeches at the event. According to Arif, micro-small-and-medium enterprises (UMKM) play a crucial role in developing local economic activities and therefore it is crucial to develop a technological approach and push for the promotion of local products through the #FlexingLocal campaign. In response to Arif’s statement, Gibran expressed the hope that the public would take part in bolstering UMKM products by visiting the exhibition and purchasing the participating UMKM’s superior products.

PNM president director Arief Mulyadi said apart from providing an opportunity for customers to share new experience, PNM participation packaged with the name Balai Warga PNM could serve as a point of exchange and dissemination of UMKM-related information. Moreover, currently more than 14.7 million Mekaar customers in 62 branches across Indonesia have been developed under PNM’s customer-assisted program.

Arief asked residents of Surakarta and the surrounding area to visit the three-day event, held in Pamedan Mangkunegaran, Surakarta, from Aug. 10 to 13. “It is of paramount importance to build the spirit of growth for them. By visiting Balai Warga PNM, you will be increasingly loved by UMKM,” said Arief on Aug. 10.

Arief was optimistic that PNM-assisted customers would be able to compete at a bigger scale provided that they received stimulus. “We all have a big responsibility to help develop the economy of UKM players to enable them to be more prosperous. To grow the customers’ business calls for assistance through various stimulus, including financial, intellectual and social capital,” he added.

On the sidelines of the event, Arif and Gibran also visited four booths of PNM-assisted customers, one of which sold Srawung Sarong. This provided a picture that currently UMKM players have become adaptable and superior, evidenced by the increasingly attractive packaging and marketing transformation through social media platforms.
