T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) has once again established a partnership with the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administrative Affairs (JAMDATUN) of the Republic of Indonesia's Attorney General's Office. This collaboration was officially inaugurated through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concerning the Handling of Legal Issues in the Field of Civil and State Administrative Affairs on Tuesday, August 15, at the PNM Tower in Jakarta. The MoU was signed directly by Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administrative Affairs, Feri Wibisono, and President Director of PNM, Arief Mulyadi.

As a company operating in the financing sector, PNM inevitably faces risks in its business operations, particularly in fund disbursement. The collaboration between PNM and JAMDATUN aims to meet the company's need to address potential civil issues that may arise.

"Currently, we have 14.7 million active PNM Mekaar customers under our guidance, and while financing risks are inherent, PNM remains committed to conducting its business in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," stated Arief.

He added that besides providing financial support, PNM is also dedicated to offering intellectual and social support. The hope is that this collaboration will enable both the High Prosecutor's Offices (Kejati) and/or District Prosecutor's Offices (Kejari) located throughout Indonesia to assist PNM in disseminating aspects of civil law to female ultra-micro business owners supported by PNM.

"This aligns with the intellectual support PNM provides to customers, empowering them with knowledge, and allowing them to access civil legal assistance, which they may have been unfamiliar with previously," Arief further elaborated.

In response, Feri expressed JAMDATUN's readiness to aid in the dissemination of civil legal aspects to PNM customers. This outreach can be facilitated by the various Kejati and Kejari offices spread across Indonesia. Furthermore, one of the responsibilities of the Attorney General's Office is to provide free services through education and consultation. "This dissemination can be organized as part of a program. In fact, the public can consult on civil legal matters with the prosecution office for free," Feri explained.

Civil law itself governs the interests between individual citizens, including matters such as debt collection, property ownership (buying and selling), inheritance, and more.
