International F&B exhibition Bali Interfood returns for 5th iteration

B

ali Interfood Expo returns for its 5th iteration this year from Sept. 7 to 9 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), with a huge roster of vendors showcasing their industry expertise.

The international food and beverage (F&B) exhibition will also highlight the latest technologies in the production of food, beverages, coffee, tea and wine, as well as innovations in the hotel, restaurant and café sector.

Bali Interfood Expo 2023 will also feature information sessions covering raw materials, equipment, provisioning and processing technologies, packaging, licensing and franchising, as it coincides with the 3rd edition of the Indonesia Licensing Expo (ILE), which focuses on licensing, franchising, partnerships and other business opportunities.

Speaking during a press conference for Bali Interfood Expo 2023 held Sept. 7 to 9 at the Bali Tourism Board in the provincial capital Denpasar, Daud D. Salim, CEO of organizer Krista Exhibitions, said:

"After a delay of over three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bali Interfood will finally be held again with the participation of over 110 exhibitors, including 40 SMEs [small and medium enterprises].

“With a goal of reaching 13,000 visitors, the expo aims to provide various business opportunities for all participants to promote their products and do business. It is also an opportunity for visitors to discover new innovations in the food and beverage industry.”

The revived Bali Interfood Expo is part of the series of F&B exhibitions Krista Exhibitions plans to hold in three major cities this year, the two others being the Indonesia International Food Expo (Eastfood) in Surabaya, East Java, and the Salon International de L'alimentation (SIAL InterFOOD) in Jakarta.

“It will all culminate on November 8 to 11, 2023 at JIExpo [Jakarta International Expo] in Kemayoran, Jakarta, during our Jakarta exhibition, which will be attended by more than 900 exhibition participants from various countries,” said Daud.

“Our hope is that these exhibitions will contribute to the accelerated recovery of Indonesia’s economy, especially in the food and beverage industry,” he said.

Susanty Widjaya, chairwoman of the Indonesia Licensing Association (ASENSI) and head of culinary affairs in the tourism and creative economy division at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), added:

"The third ILE 2023 is also being held in three major cities: Surabaya, Bali and Jakarta. We are proud to present the Indonesia Licensing Expo for the first time on the island of Bali. This is our second exhibition this year after our successful exhibition in June in Surabaya, with the final event set for October in Jakarta.

“We hope that the third ILE 2023 will serve as a platform that will foster entrepreneurship and facilitate development, expansion and connections for businesspeople with partners, buyers, licensees and franchisees from both Indonesia and the international community."

Bali Interfood Expo 2023 boasts a greater involvement of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as exhibitors, while the fisheries sector will also be featured alongside exclusive opportunities for licensing and franchising.

Bali Interfood Expo 2023 is grateful for the support of various parties, including the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the Provincial Government of Bali, the Bali Tourism Board (BTB) and the Bali branch of the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI), the Bali branch of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association, ASENSI, the Indonesian Food and Beverage Association (GAPMMI), the Association of Indonesian Retailers (APRINDO), the Indonesian Fishery Processing and Marketing Association (AP5I) and the Indonesian Tea Association (ATI).
