Taste the spirit of Megibung in Segaran Dining Terrace at Jumeirah Bali

We often forget that our ancestors are those we need to thank.

They are living memories that speak of the beauty of evolution in life and culture.

Amid the stunning natural landscapes and aquatic glimmer in which we soak ourselves in Bali, this haven often known as the last paradise on earth, values the preservation of the traditional legacy from our ancestors—including our diverse cuisine.

Representing the story-telling of Indonesia’s colorful flavors and spices, Segaran Dining Terrace at Jumeirah Bali spotlights the island’s seasonal produce by creating Balinese dining that embodies a Megibung setting.

Deriving from the Balinese word gibung, the language of Megibung invites the spirit of togetherness which compliments Jumeirah’s set menu for two starting from Rp 500,000++ per person.

“Megibung is a traditional Balinese way of dining that symbolizes community and solidarity by bringing people together to share the food from one big plate or […] a big piece of banana leaf,” explained the executive chef, Vincent Leroux.

A historical teleportation experienced through dining, guests can enjoy the crunch of pork belly cooked in cassava leaf, samsam kriuk, the warm coconut broth of sop ikan or even the sweet pop of brown sugar when klepon is bitten into.

And lots more to enjoy.
