n a groundbreaking move aimed at transforming its digital services, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) has forged a strategic collaboration with Telkomsel, unveiled at the PNM Head Office in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The partnership seeks to propel the digitalization of services for PNM’s 14.7 million customers through the innovative MekaarDigi app, which was developed in-house by PNM.
Dodot Patria Ary, corporate secretary of PNM, emphasized the far-reaching impact of this initiative.
"This partnership forms an expansive network catering to diverse needs. PNM proudly stands as one of the foremost global institutions in group lending and financing. Notably, 100 percent of program participants are women," he said.
Beyond digitalization, the collaboration prioritizes device security to mitigate potential financial risks stemming from data breaches. Telkomsel assumes a crucial role by providing secure devices and internet packages for account officers (AOs), promising enhanced financial inclusion for customers.
Telkomsel’s role in this collaborative effort is to provide devices and connectivity throughout all areas including big cities and remote areas that support ultra-micro businesses, which PNM is focusing on.
Handoyono Hadi, general manager of the account management business sector at Telkomsel, underscored the company's commitment to empowering micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and driving the digitization agenda.
"Telkomsel is deeply committed to bolstering the MSME program, particularly in digitization. Our focus extends beyond connectivity to a comprehensive, digital-centric solution," he affirmed.
In line with PNM’s focus on MSMEs and female empowerment, Telkomsel takes a dedicated approach by leveraging its robust capabilities to facilitate this digital transformation. Beyond providing connectivity, the company offers comprehensive digital solutions, including digital marketing and advertising tailored to the MSME sector.
PNM and Telkomsel aim to elevate the MekaarDigi application by integrating the Seamless Mobile Authentication feature onto provided devices. This step serves as a catalyst in continually enhancing services for a more comprehensive digital inclusion strategy.
The strategic partnership underscores PNM’s dedication to elevating customer welfare through financial support and guidance.
"Financing and guidance are interdependent facets that are integral to our mission. As of early November 2023, PNM had disbursed Rp 58.3 trillion in financing to 14.7 million PNM Mekaar customers," Dodot explained.
PNM’s collaboration with Telkomsel signifies a concerted effort to fortify the digital ecosystem, ensuring data security and transactional ease for all PNM customers.
"Telkomsel's renown precedes itself, and we anticipate this collaboration will significantly enhance our digital services," he concluded.
