T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) has successfully garnered 40 prestigious awards as a token of appreciation from various stakeholders for its consistent efforts in financing and supporting economically disadvantaged mothers in Indonesia. The accolades primarily recognize PNM's initiatives in building the well-being of its customers and the community, focusing on improving the quality of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) pillars, including economic, social and environmental (ESG) aspects. Notably, PNM has also received recognition in the fields of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and women's empowerment.
Arief Mulyadi, the President Director of PNM, revealed that out of the 15.2 million active customers, PNM has implemented empowerment activities such as education and the issuance of Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and Halal Certifications to one million customers in 2023 alone. Additionally, PNM has established 37 Smart Rooms with the aim of bridging the digital gap for Indonesian children.
Furthermore, PNM actively supports micro-entrepreneurs, who often face challenges in digital literacy. Through Ultramicro Holding (UMi), a collaboration between PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and PT Pegadaian, PNM successfully converted 64,000 customers, surpassing the target of 60,000, into digital borrowers through the UMi Corner. Cashless disbursements have also been implemented for 98.38 percent of customers who used conventional methods in the previous year.
