T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) has organized culinary bazaars at every branch across its 62 branches throughout Indonesia. The event, titled Cici Rosa, or Taste the Products of Mekaar Customers, is an empowerment initiative aimed at creating markets for Mekaar customers’ products. Cici Rosa brings together traders who are Mekaar customers with the surrounding community.
Octo Wibisono, head of PNM's Business Capacity Development Division, explained that PNM always strove to facilitate the development of its customers' businesses beyond just providing financing.
"Cici Rosa is our way of facilitating customers who have culinary businesses to sell their products in the locations we've prepared. We not only provide the space but also promote them so that our customers' goods sell well at the location," Octo said.
Octo said that for the Cici Rosa program, PNM provided strategic selling locations.
"We try to have the Cici Rosa bazaars in very strategic locations. Luckily, almost all of our branch office locations are strategic. If the branch location is already busy, we set up Cici Rosa in front of the branch office. But for those in less strategic locations, meaning those not on main roads, we rent out well-placed stalls. We want our customers' sales to be brisk and profitable through this activity," Octo added.
The Cici Rosa activity will run for 10 days from March 17 to 26, 2024. Various kinds of takjil (snacks to open fast) menus were sold to tempt the taste buds of the surrounding community and also to increase market access for Mekaar customers' products.
"There are also branches that started on March 18 and will last for 10 days. So, it's not a half-hearted effort, PNM truly provides sales access to Mekaar customers during the fasting month to increase our customer base," Octo said.
L. Dodot Patria Ary, head of the PNM Corporate Secretariat, emphasized that with CICI ROSA, PNM was strengthening its efforts to empower customers not only through financing but also through continuous mentoring. PNM comprehensively provides financial, intellectual and social capital.
