ofitel Nusa Dua Beach Resort is starting a new chapter, as it moves forward with Dian Meytania as its new director of Commercial - Sales. Her appointment runs parallel with the promotion of Andrew Clark as the new Food and Beverage (F&B) director. The announcement signals golden days ahead for the resort.

In her new role as Commercial director, Dian will be responsible for leading the resort’s commercial strategy, driving revenue growth and enhancing brand presence in the market. She is the right fit for the job, with 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Moreover, Dian’s background in sales and marketing, combined with her passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, makes her an invaluable addition to the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort team.

Her expertise and experience also spans further than Indonesia, as she has previously held positions in Australia working as both an F&B attendant and a conference and events supervisor. Prior to joining the Sofitel team, she has also proven herself with her leadership experience within the hospitality industry, where she successfully implemented strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and improve market share.

“I am honored to join the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort family,” said Dian. “I am excited to work alongside the talented team here to elevate the resort’s commercial strategy and drive continued success in the market.”

She will collaborate with newly appointed Andrew who, with a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the hospitality industry, brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to his role at one of Bali’s premier luxury resorts.

Originally from Scotland, Andrew’s role will allow him to oversee all aspects of the resort’s culinary operations, in line with his true passion. His duties will include the supervision of diverse range of restaurants, bars and banquet facilities, with a primary focus on elevating the dining experience for guests, while also implementing sustainable practices and fostering innovation within the F&B department.

He had honed his expertise for quite some time before arriving at Sofitel Nusa Dua. Among his noteworthy achievements include spearheading the successful launch of the Laguna Beach Taverna & Lounge concept, and securing numerous accolades for the F&B program, such as Best Steakhouse, Best Brunch Concept 2023 and Restaurant of the Year. Furthermore, he was recognized as a top 30 F&B All-Star in 2022 by Hotel News ME.

Echoing Dian, he said, “I look forward to working closely with our culinary team to create memorable dining experiences that reflect the resort’s commitment to excellence and innovation.”

Both Dian and Andrew received a warm welcome from general manager Jean-Pierre Joncas, who extended his congratulations to them both.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dian to our leadership team,” said Jean-Pierre. “Her proven track record of driving revenue and her innovative approach to commercial strategy will be instrumental in furthering our success as a premier luxury resort destination.”

Meanwhile, referring to Andrew, Jean-Pierre continued, “His passion for food and beverage, coupled with his extensive international experience, make him the perfect candidate to lead our culinary team to new heights of excellence.”
