T

wo women directors at PT Pertamina have been recognized at two separate international award events held last month: president director Nicke Widyawati was named Asia’s Best CEO at the 14th Asian Excellence Awards in Hong Kong, while finance director Emma Sri Martini was named Asia’s Best CFO at the Asian Excellence Awards and also named Most Innovative Leader of the Year at the 2024 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards in Manila.

"This is one of the many times Pertamina has received recognition from the Asian Excellence Awards organized by Corporate Governance Asia. As for the Stevie Awards, this is our first award this year," said Pertamina Vice President Investor Relations Juferson V. Mangempis.

Juferson added that Pertamina also received recognition from the Asian Excellence Awards for Best Investor Relations Energy Company, Best Investor Relations Professional, Sustainable Asia Award and Asia’s Best CSR.

Meanwhile at the 2024 Stevie Awards, Pertamina won silver for Innovative Achievement in Finance and bronze for Innovation in Other Types of Publication for transparency in investor information.

Juferson said the awards also helped the company to understand investor expectations for its top management and performance, particularly in finance, investor relations and sustainability.

"This is both a benchmark and a form of appreciation from international stakeholders, especially the investors who were judges at these two events," he said.

The multiple achievements also reflected the effectiveness of Pertamina's communications strategy as well as its steadfast commitment to transparency and excellence.

"This includes the investor relations team at Pertamina Group, which has consistently demonstrated exceptional ability in building strong relationships with stakeholders and the investment community, thereby enhancing [our] global reputation and trust," said Juferson.

Pertamina Vice President Corporate Communications Fadjar Djoko Santoso added that recognition by the international award events showed that the company's business operations were in alignment with its vision as well as the Go Global strategy of the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry.

"The recognition by the Asian Excellence Awards and the Stevie Awards is strong evidence that Pertamina has an established reputation on the international stage," Fadjar said.

Corporate Governance Asia, the organizer of the Asian Excellence Awards, is a Hong Kong-based institution that provides news and analysis on corporate governance issues, board performance and shareholder activities.

The Stevie Awards is a premier business awards based in the United States that runs multiregional programs to recognize the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and professionals worldwide.
