ertamina has won an award at the Enterprise Innovation Awards 2024, which was organized by the ASEAN Innovation Business Platform (AIBP). The award was received by Pertamina senior vice president Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data Command Center (PIEDCC) Ignatius Sigit Pratopo during the AIBP Conference & Exhibition at The Ritz Carlton Mega Kuningan in Jakarta on Aug. 6.
He revealed that the award was an appreciation of the innovation carried out by the company through digitalizing energy distribution across all corners of the country.
"Pertamina has succeeded in implementing the digitalization of gas stations, which has had a very big impact in Indonesia. Pertamina received an award in the Data and Artificial Intelligence [AI] category," Ignatius said.
He added that Pertamina processed data on around 15 million subsidized fuel transactions every day, supported by AI so that the work was done faster, more accurately and efficiently.
"The application of AI exception signals to process transaction data from the digitalization of gas stations implemented by Pertamina has resulted in significant cost avoidance and reduced deviations in the distribution of subsidized fuel," Ignatius explained.
He revealed that Pertamina aims to use digital factories across all business lines in the future so they can provide added value to the company.
Pertamina was awarded the accolade after going through a long judging process by various experts in their respective fields. Pertamina managed to outperform 113 companies and institutions in Southeast Asia to become one of the 12 finalists, and it then went on to win an award at the Enterprise Innovation Awards 2024.
Pertamina corporate communications vice president Fadjar Djoko Santoso said that the PIEDCC is an important part of the company's digital transformation to ensure that all Pertamina business processes can run without a hitch.
"Through the PIEDCC, Pertamina can monitor the availability of energy throughout Indonesia in real time and take quick actions to meet energy needs if there is a spike in fuel and LPG [liquefied petroleum gas] consumption," said Fadjar.
