T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is rolling out free educational facilities across various remote regions of Indonesia. By establishing Ruang Pintar (Smart Rooms), PNM aims to bridge the digital learning gap, particularly for children. These Ruang Pintar are strategically located near residential areas to ensure easy access for residents, often just a short walk away.

PNM's chief operating officer, Sunar Basuki, is confident that the distribution of these Ruang Pintar—equipped with laptops and Wi-Fi—will foster a generation of digitally savvy children from underprivileged families. This initiative is especially crucial given the challenges these families face in acquiring digital devices needed for modern learning.

“We strive to provide children from less fortunate families with equal opportunities in digital education. If utilized consistently, this initiative will prepare them to compete with city children and potentially uplift their families' economic prospects in the future,” Sunar stated.

Currently, PNM is focused not only on enhancing the businesses of its ultra-micro customers under the Mekaar program but also on making a broader impact beyond business, including providing educational facilities for children.

“PNM is committed to supporting the government in reducing societal disparities, creating quality education, and promoting healthy, prosperous lives,” Sunar concluded. To date, 125 active Ruang Pintar have been utilized by 4,915 children across Indonesia, helping to enlighten the nation's future.
