P

ermodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is calling on coffee farmers to continually enhance their skills and knowledge in developing local coffee. Coffee has emerged as a flagship export product for Indonesia, attracting interest from various international markets.

PNM L. secretary Dodot Patria Ary recognizes the potential of PNM's clients to boost Indonesia's trade volume abroad through coffee sales. One notable example is Didik Suryadi, a coffee farmer from Situbondo who runs a coffee shop named Waroeng Kopi Kayumas.

Recently, Didik had the opportunity to participate in a coffee training and research program organized by the Italian Embassy in Jakarta. This experience not only enhanced his knowledge but also aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Italy in the coffee sector.

Dodot noted that many local coffee farmers have yet to realize the importance of expanding their networks to boost sales of micro and ultra-micro businesses. He urged local coffee farmers to continually improve their capacity and product quality to meet export standards.

"Indonesian coffee is increasingly recognized and enjoyed by people from other countries. Therefore, it is crucial to prepare ourselves and actively participate in promoting Indonesian coffee. The key lies with the local farmers," Dodot stated.

Dodot praised Didik’s initiative, as his coffee shop now frequently attracts customers from Italy. This is not surprising, given that Kayumas Coffee has regularly featured in PNM events. Dodot hopes Didik's efforts will serve as an example for other ultra-micro and micro entrepreneurs to increase their awareness and develop their business potential.

Didik also expressed his gratitude to PNM for the support provided to his coffee business. He hopes that Kayumas Coffee will gain further popularity among international tourists, enabling Indonesian coffee farmers to become prominent players on the global stage.
