T

he Financial Services Authority (OJK) recognizes organizations committed to advancing financial literacy and inclusion. Among those honored is PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), which has made notable contributions to the National Movement to Enhance Financial Literacy.

PNM remains dedicated to empowering ultra-micro entrepreneurs by providing three types of capital: financial, intellectual and social. Intellectual capital is offered through various free training programs in financial literacy, business literacy, social literacy and digital literacy for its ultra-micro clients. This commitment to education and support has earned PNM a 2024 Financial Literacy Award in the Best Financial Literacy Program category.

Accepting the award, PNM president director Arief Mulyadi expressed gratitude to the OJK for its trust in PNM. He emphasized that PNM will continue to enhance both the quality and reach of its financial literacy and inclusion programs for subsistence groups. In addition to PNM, BRI and Pegadaian, as part of the Ultra Micro Holding, also received accolades from the OJK.

PNM corporate secretary L. Dodot Patria Ary also extended thanks to PNM Mekaar’s female clients. He noted that women exhibit a strong drive to improve their capabilities and frequently participate in PNM’s literacy programs.

“This recognition motivates the entire PNM family to continue innovating and delivering useful and accessible literacy and inclusion programs to our clients. At PNM, we are also committed to achieving more equitable financial inclusion,” said Dodot.

In the first half of 2024, PNM conducted 4.8 million basic training sessions through its PKM Bermakna initiative. Additionally, 7,357 advanced training sessions were held. Currently, 388,125 PNM Mekaar clients have gained supplementary income by becoming BRILink Mekaar agents, and 17.6 million clients have been assisted in opening Simpedes UMi accounts.

“The widespread financial literacy efforts we undertake lead to increased inclusion and positively impact family economic growth. This is our goal: to empower and help families achieve prosperity,” he concluded.
