P

T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) has sent Gravit, a Mekaar Account Officer (AO), to inspire participants of the International Symposium 2024 organized by Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) Dunia, also known as the Overseas Indonesian Students Association Alliance (OISAA), in Budapest, Hungary.

Notably, as a senior high school graduate who runs a coffee business, Gravit was the only speaker at the event with such a background, and provided invaluable insight into the challenges of developing a business while mentoring ultra micro entrepreneurs who are PNM Mekaar clients.

PPI participants from various countries expressed great enthusiasm upon learning how a young entrepreneur like Gravit could simultaneously grow his business, create jobs and empower PNM Mekaar clients.

"I started my business by saving a little from my salary bit by bit, and now I have 14 employees. The important thing is to have the courage to start," he told an audience of hundreds at the symposium.

Gravit supports one PNM Mekaar client by purchasing their coffee beans for use as the main ingredient at his coffee shop. This not only helps underserved clients access broader sales networks, but also generates a positive impact toward economic transformation beyond the client’s family.

PNM Corporate Secretary L. Dodot Patria Ary expressed his pride in dedicated and inspiring PNM Mekaar account officers like Gravit, emphasizing that PNM was committed to providing opportunities for outstanding individuals to share their stories on a global platform.

"We hope to see more individuals like Gravit emerge and inspire PNM Mekaar AOs across Indonesia to continue striving for personal and communal betterment," Dodot said.
