et against the backdrop of Bali's stunning coastline, Conrad Bali invites guests to relish the island’s natural treasures with the Savor the Source weekly culinary experience.
Held every Thursday at Conrad Bali’s signature beachfront restaurant Eight Degrees South, the dining event celebrates Bali's finest local producers, artisans and sustainability efforts in a vibrant feast that blends flavor and tradition.
Each dish highlights the island's freshest locally sourced ingredients, including hand-picked vegetables and fruits from Plaga Farms, fresh seafood from Bali Sustainable Seafood, decadent chocolate from Jungle Gold and fragrant herbs from Conrad Bali's rooftop garden, Kebun Kita.
Conrad Bali general manager Kevin Girard said Savor the Source is more than a dining experience; it's a tribute to Bali's community, sustainability and responsible tourism.
“By dining with us, guests are contributing to the livelihood of Bali's local farmers, fishers and artisans.”
Napkins used during the event are crafted from recycled plastic by Patemar, a local initiative that works with Plastic Bank Indonesia and Sungai Watch to tackle Bali's plastic waste. Guests will also notice handcrafted décor sourced from Bali's local artisans, including stunning metal leaves that add an artistic touch.
Following the meal, guests will take home a unique handcrafted postcard created by local Gianyar-based Balinese artist Gusti Ngurah Agung Dwi Putra, whose work includes sculpture, portraiture and abstract art.
In addition, guests will also receive a package of gourmet hand-harvested sea salt from Muntigunung, a social enterprise in Northeast Bali that provides high-quality products that create employment opportunities for local communities.
“Savor the Source embodies our deep respect for Bali’s natural resources and local communities,” says Girard.
“It reflects our dedication to sustainability and offers our guests the opportunity to experience the fresh and authentic ingredients of Bali while positively impacting the environment and the people who call this island home.”
