Michelle Obama has officially became part of the social media frenzy by joining Snapchat on Tuesday.

The Verge reported that the first lady was looking to engage more closely with the younger generation and her followers could expect to follow her upcoming trip to Africa and Europe via the social network platform.

Together with actresses Meryl Streep and Freida Pinto, Mrs. Obama is set to share her experience while traveling to Liberia, Morocco and Spain next week as part of the Let Girls Learn initiative, which aims to better education for young girls.

Although the presidential election is coming soon, there's still plenty of time for Mrs. Obama to update her followers on other things that also matter. You can follow her at @MichelleObama. (jam/kes)
