Lamborghini sold 2,013 vehicles in the first half of 2016, breaking its lifetime sales record.
This is the first time since opening 53 years ago that the company has managed to surpass the 2,000 vehicle sales mark in a half year period. The Italian car manufacturer's total sales were recorded at 1,882 vehicles last year, seeing it reach 7 percent in growth by the first half of this year.

Lamborghini sold 416 vehicles in June, one-fifth of its sales in the first half of 2016. Its largest markets are reportedly the US, Japan, UK, Greater China and Germany.
In 2016, 1,370 Lamborghini Huracán have been sold, meaning that the model, first introduced in 2014, has seen an 87 percent increase in sales compared to its predecessor, Gallador. Lamborghini also sold 643 Aventador, a 127 percent after market launch increase compared to its predecessor model, Murciélago. (kes)
