mid Pokemon Go hype, a live action movie based on a recently released Nintendo 3DS game tentatively dubbed Great Detective Pikachu is set to be made by Legendary Entertainment and The Pokemon Company.
Released in Japan in early February, the game focuses on the teamwork between Pikachu, who wears a hat and is able to communicate with humans, and a boy named Tim to find the boy's missing father, reported The Verge. No news yet on whether the movie's plot will be similar to the game's storyline, nor the cast, crew or release date.
