Maison Mumm said the decision to appoint Usain Bolt was aimed at helping the French brand secure its spot as the top champagne house in the United States. It called Bolt “supremely qualified to take on Mumm’s first-ever title of CEO” due to his achievement in the world of sports.
Established in 1827, the brand recently released a new bottle design, the Mumm Grand Cordon, which is said to be the first digitally connected champagne bottle, and launched a drone-powered champagne delivery service. (kes)
