Child and family psychologist Vera Itabiliana told tempo.co that “films that are specialized for children or for all ages are the safest.”

Parents must remember to explain certain things to children that they do not understand. For example, in films with a little family drama, the concept of divorce or adoption can be addressed by the parent if the child fails to understand what these things mean.
“A child needs to understand. The duty of a parent is to explain what is going on in the film,” Vera pointed out. “If parents give them quality material, there will be unpredictable benefits that will show up later on.” (mra/kes)
