ickets for Ariana Grande’s benefit concert, One Love Manchester, sold out in less than 10 minutes after they appeared on the Ticketmaster website.
All of the US$52 tickets were sold, confirmed the vendor’s Twitter account. Those who were at the original May 22 event were offered free tickets.

Proceeds from the 45,000 tickets will be going to Red Cross’s Manchester Emergency Fund, and the show is projected to make about $2.6 million.

Grande, whose current tour has been placed on hold, announced her plan to put on the benefit four days after the tragedy. Musicians and groups such as Justin Bieber, Take That, Niall Horan, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Usher and Pharrell will be joining her.
According to a statement from Ticketmaster, its website “was unsurprisingly met with remarkable demand for One Love Manchester tickets we had on sale this morning – 140,000 fans were on the website and our call center was buzzing. With over 450,000 searches on our site for One Love Manchester over the last 24 hours, demand was always going to be extremely high.” (sul/kes)
