hor: Ragnarok, the latest film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, delivers a fun adventure despite the fact that Thor fights without his faithful hammer Mjolnir and with his home Asgard in great danger.
Thor (Chris Hemsworth) faces multiple problems: First, his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins), the king of Asgard, is dying. Second, the Ragnarok premonition, which would result in the destruction of his home in Asgard, is likely to become true. Third, Hela (Cate Blanchett), the goddess of death, has arisen and wants to rule Asgard. Hela is not Thor's typical enemy as she is far more powerful, with the ability to easily crush Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir.
However, after falling defeat to Hela, both Thor and his adoptive brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) are trapped on Sakaar, a planet on the other side of the universe. In order to escape and save his home, Thor is forced to fight in a gladiator-like match against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Although both superheroes know each other through the Avengers, a team of superheroes of which both are members, the Hulk does not seem to remember Thor. Throughout all this, Hela has successfully entered Asgard and threatens its civilization.
Thor needs to rescue Asgard before it is too late, but he also needs to be vigilant as traitors lurk everywhere.
