Singaporean skincare brand The Face Inc has entered the Indonesian market with an innovation, offering an online “consultation” prior to purchasing its range of products.
Users are invited to enter in some details about their lifestyle and skin problems, which will then be analyzed by “Doctor Rei” (an algorithm). This analysis will then result in a suggestion about which products should be used by each consumer, as skin problems are unique to every person.

“We want to break the perception that high-quality skincare therapy can only be obtained through a consultation session with a doctor,” said Wilson Goh, managing partner of The Face Inc, at the launch in Jakarta on Thursday. He also added that consumers will be able to get a “prescription” — a recommendation showing which of the company’s products are most suitable.
Wenda Tan, The Face Inc.’s head of professional affairs, said, “Our products contain highly concentrated active ingredients, so the results are fast and visible."
Priced at Rp 259,000 for its cleansing gel and up to Rp 1.6 million for its eye lift product, The Face Inc.’s range of products are available for purchase on the brand’s website www.thefaceinc.com/id or at iLotte.
