ell phone users were expected to register prepaid SIM cards by Wednesday at the latest. Anyone who failed to register by the deadline had their number blocked on Thursday.

Those whose cards have been blocked can still register by text message to number 4444 until April 30, after which a full block will be applied. This means that unregistered SIM cards that haven't been registered by that date will be unretrievable.

Kompas.com reported that unregistered SIM cards would be blocked gradually. Starting March 1, the number will be unable to make outgoing calls or send text messages. After April 1, if the card is still not registered, the user will be unable to receive incoming calls and text messages, but will still be able to use internet data.
