wenty five years after calling it a day, legendary New York rap duo Eric B. and Rakim have announced that they will reissue their entire catalog on vinyl. The box set, which will be titled The Complete Collection 1987-1992, will be available on July 12.
The box set, which will include eight LPs and two CDs, features the duo’s four studio albums — 1987s Paid in Full, 1988’s Follow the Leader, 1990’s Let the Rhythm Hit Em, and 1992’s Don’t Sweat the Technique – and 20 rare remixes collected from 1986 to 1992.
It will also include a 36-page deluxe booklet, the albums’ original liner notes, a ridged slipcase, and more.
The duo, considered by many as pioneers in rap, split up acrimoniously in 1993 after recording Don't Sweat the Technique.
The duo reunited for a concert last year and will tour the United States this year.
