Facebook is no stranger to Ronaldo or sports content, as the network ordered a scripted series from wiip, Ronaldo’s newly launched studio, about a high-school girls’ soccer team in upstate New York that “inspires the local community to transcend racial, ethnic and class differences dividing it.”
Facebook Watch has also funded and hosted multiple sport reality shows, including Tom vs. Time, which follows New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his life during his 18th NFL season.
