Drawing inspiration from the traditional Korean hanbok, modest wear brand Sayee is making its way into the Indonesian fashion scene.
Sayee was established by young Korean designers who are eager to tap into the massive Indonesian market of modest wear.
“As a newcomer in Indonesia, we see big potential for Sayee to develop well in the market. Because of this, our young designers are creating styles that fit the needs of the active, urban women. The designers also create Sayee from environmentally friendly materials, so it [the clothes are] very comfortable to wear throughout the day,” says Jae-Choi, Sayee’s head of design.
Sayee’s modest wear ranges from dresses, blouses, tunics, skirts, pants and even long coats. These items, offered in blue, white and earth tones such as grey, off-white and beige, are simple and loose fitting. They are made of organic cotton and premium quality linen, sending a calming message of modesty.
