T

he first mobile game in the Diablo series has been made available exclusively on iOS and Android mobile by California-based video game developer and publisher Blizzard, on the same day it released Diablo III for the Nintendo Switch.

The action-focused RPG top-down game is set after the events of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and was made in partnership with Chinese internet technology company NetEase Incorporated, reports Engadget.

Blizzard said that regular updates featuring storylines as well as dynamic events across Sanctuary would be available, with loot and challenges. The company also said that it was working at multiple Diablo projects, for which they had separate teams.

NetEase Incorporated has developed similar games previously, such as Endless of God.

The game features six classes, just like previous games, namely Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer and Wizard -- all are customizable. Item crafting, gear upgrades and the ability to form groups will be available in the Westmarch hub. Like in every Diablo installment, players will be able to battle through dungeons with their acquired allies. (acr/kes)
