Foxtrot Six, an Indonesian action flick with a Hollywood touch, is scheduled to be released in 2019.

Set in the future, the film follows a former marine and his friends as they struggle to save Indonesia from a ruthless party leader.

Oka Antara, Chicco Jerikho, Rio Dewanto, Verdi Solaiman and Arifin Putra are among the actors featured in the film, as reported by kompas.com.

Foxtrot Six is an ambitious debut from young director Randy Korompis. Known as an action flick enthusiast, Randy has been dreaming of making an action film and the project itself has been in development since 2010.

He then met Mario Kassar, whose credits include Terminator Salvation, Total Recall and First Blood. Interested by Randy’s project, Kassar later become Foxtrot Six’s executive producer, while Andrew Juano (The Walking Dead) came on board to handle visual effects and Hiro Ishizaka (Rurouni Kenshin, Unforgiven) was tapped as the sound designer.

The film is spoken in English so as to reach an international market.

“[I use English in the film] so people from other countries can understand and see our quality,” Randy said. “It’s easier to introduce ourselves if we use English.” (wir/kes)
