Written and directed by Timo Tjahjanto, The Night Comes for Us follows a former triad enforcer who is on a mission to protect a young girl while trying to escape the clutches of his former gang.
Indonesian action film The Night Comes for Us will be streamed on Netflix, from Oct. 19.
Written and directed by Timo Tjahjanto, who is popularly known as part of the filmmaking duo The Mo Brothers (Macabre, Killers and Headshot), the film follows Ito (Joe Taslim), a former triad enforcer, on a mission to protect a young girl while trying to escape his former gang.

Along with Joe, known for his roles in The Raid and Fast & Furious 6, the film also features action star Iko Uwais (The Raid, Merantau), who was also the movie's action coordinator, Zack Lee (The Raid 2), Sunny Pang (Headshot) and actress Julie Estelle (Macabre, The Raid 2).
“The Night Comes for Us has plenty in store for fans of Southeast Asian action cinema,” wrote the streaming service in a statement received by The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.
The Night Comes for Us is the first Netflix original film from Indonesia. However, prior to releasing the action movie, the streaming service also added more Indonesian films, namely Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2 and Galih & Ratna, on its list, allowing viewers to catch them online. (jes/wng)
