Singer Taeyeon kicked off the international leg of her solo tour in Hong Kong over the weekend.
The member of veteran girl group Girls’ Generation wowed fans at the AsiaWorld-Arena, packing a strong musical punch with the aid of a live band.
Taeyeon powered through a 2 1/2 hour long hit-packed set list including “I,” “Why”, “Fine” and “Rain” during her first concert in Hong Kong since June.

Singing a total of 24 songs, including all tracks from her third EP, “Something New,” she kept her fans thoroughly entertained with musical versatility and a wide range of onstage moves.
There was no language barrier -- the Hong Kong fans sang along with Taeyeon’s Korean lyrics throughout the show.
Her concert on Saturday marked the first performance at the venue by a South Korean female solo artist, reaffirming her popularity in the region even as a solo act.
