The average lifespan of a human being is about 80 years, according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and most people experience heartaches, insecurity, loneliness and so on through those years.
British Youtuber and author Lex Croucher had made it her goal to help young people achieve their personal best through her latest book. Titled You’re Crushing It!: Positivity for living your REAL life, it explains the ups and downs of life and how to deal with it.
Croucher stated in a vlog that the book is structured around “her own affirmations”, all of which include a few stories as well as advice.
With her dry, witty humor and illustrations of the main highlights in each section, Croucher easily reaches out to her target audience.
For instance, her argument on being busy and how too much work can affect you is one of the many examples of a reminder to give yourself a break once in a while. She explains: “Even if you’re an extrovert, constantly being busy will eventually take its toll.”
While all elements throughout the book remain general for common people, the book mainly acts as a helpful reminder on things we may find troubling or confusing.
As an advocate for self-empowerment and independence, Croucher aims to inspire the world through her platform. You’re Crushing It! is a must-read for fans of her work and those who simply need reminding of how to face life with positivity. (vit/wng)
