Boys Like Girls will hold a concert at Kuningan City Ballroom P7 in South Jakarta on April 9.

The American rock band announced the show on Twitter on Monday.

“We couldn’t tell if Jakarta wanted a show or not from the thousands of comments asking for one. So here goes nothing. Tickets on Wednesday.”

Ticket are available at loket.com for Rp 767,000 (US$ 55.51).

The Boys Like Girls Comes to Jakarta! concert is said to commemorate their debut self-titled album released back in 2006. The album won gold album certification for selling over 500,000 units.

Promoted by Soundlive and co-organized by Bhiva Indonesia, the concert will be the band’s second performance in the country following a show on Jan. 25, 2010.

The band of Martin Johnson, Paul DiGiovanni, Morgan Dorr and John Keefe is set to perform in other Asian countries as well, such as in Singapore on April 12 and the Philippines on April 14, 15 and 16.

Tickets for concerts in Singapore and the Philippines (on April 14 and 16) have apparently sold out.

According to news agency Antara, the tour marks the band’s return after a hiatus following the release of its album Crazy World in 2012. (wir/wng)
