n addition to integrating Microsoft Teams voice calls into the platform, Slack also launched various other Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services like RingCentral, DialPad and Zoom.
On Wednesday, The Verge was the first to report that the integration between Slack and Microsoft Teams’ VoIP calling tool, which was forecast a few weeks ago by CNBC, has launched.

These allow users to get in touch with people by dialing the recipient’s phone number directly from the platform via their VoIP service of choice. Any can be selected as the default call provider.
These additions arrive in response to the increased Slack demand worldwide caused by the COVID-19 outbreak leading to stay-at-home, and therefore work-from-home, orders across a wide range of industries.
The platform has broken its previous user records by hundreds of thousands. All new VoIP options are already available.
