JAKARTA: Fire razed two houses on Jl. Panjang Cidodol in South Jakarta, killing one of the owners, Elly, 45.
She failed to escape from her house when the fire caught from a two-story home next door at 7.50 a.m. on Tuesday.
"We suspect it was caused by a short circuit at the house and easily spread to the other one," said firefighter Widodo of the South Jakarta Fire Agency, as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.
The fire was extinguished at 9.10 p.m. with the help of 20 fire engines. --JP
