JAKARTA: At first Facebook held no interest at all for actress Wulan Guritno, but soon after catching up her long-lost friends there, she began to see it as a miracle.
“How amazing is it to meet your long-lost friends from elementary school after 16 years?” Wulan said.
She said it all began when a friend of hers uploaded some old photos of her classmates.
“One person tagged another one, and it went on like that until most of the people in the photos were tagged,” Wulan said. “And so it goes. We started to learn everyone’s whereabouts and talk to each other.”
But it did not stop in the virtual world for Wulan and her friends: They determined to meet up in person.
“When we met up, we played this game ‘Guess Who’?” Wulan laughed, adding they had to guess each of their friend’s names.
“Some of them changed a lot, but some looked the same as 16 years ago.
“It was awkward at the beginning, but thanks to the game, we relaxed a bit,” Wulan said, adding that after the reunion, everyone promised to maintain the friendship.
