eferring to the recent criticism by Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi, I would say that Soekarno-Hatta International Airport needs a major overhaul. Here are a few suggestions:
The newly renovated toilets: you don't need the cleaner to wait outside or sit outside. In Singapore or even in Hong Kong, you get cleaners that move around and don't just wait outside the toilet. And there is a distinct lack of tissue paper!
Allow free Wi-Fi and make sure the signals are strong. Changi, Kuala Lumpur International and Hong Kong International airports offer free Wi-Fi, why can't Soekarno-Hatta International Airport?
It is a bit stuffy in the departure hall because the automated doors are always open. (Does the air-conditioning even work?)
In the departure hall, you have people selling you fake watches, children to shine your shoes, etc. If you could restrict those areas, it would be good, because there are so many people there and most are not even travelers.
With the Rp 150,000 (US$15) airport tax, I'm sure they've collected enough by now to do a major overhaul!
