AKARTA: The House of Representatives secretariat general is investigating a security breach on Tuesday in which a pornographic website was displayed on one of the online information screens installed the House lobby, but had not found any leads as of Tuesday evening.
"The *camera* in front of the Nusantara III building did not record the incident because it faces the entrance. But we'll check the other *cameras*," House Secretary-General Nining Indrasaleh said Tuesday.
Nining said her agency was conducting an internal investigation but had not decided whether they would hand the case over to the police.
House deputy speaker Taufik Kurniawan had urged the secretariat to impose firm sanctions on officers responsible for the security of the legislative body's IT system.
Nining said the Internet connection for computers in the building's local network had been deactivated to prevent such an incident from occurring again.
"We will *keep the system offline* until we are convinced it is safe to use again," she said. - JP
